My name is Pat Grace. I am a creative artworker/adaptive designer with nearly thirty years experience creating graphic communications for packaging, print and digital channels, using industry standard software (mostly Adobe CC) to produce anything from yogurt pots to posters, magazines to exhibition stands, brochures to web banners, or DM to POS. I am currently in a salaried role, but am able to take on freelance work that fits around my core hours.

For the last five years I have been working with Sun Strategy on packaging projects for clients like Aunt Bessie’s, Aldi, Walmart, Goodfellas, Walmart, Jordan’s, Wyeth, Duerr’s, and Dorset Cereals (to name a few). During my time at Sun I have had the opportunity to practice and develop my versatility in graphics, doing creative retouching, design traces, print ready artworks, presentation decks and concept work. This has led to me taking up a position as a designer in the expanding adaptive design team.

CC skills (I work mainly in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) and print knowledge is at the heart of my work. As an adaptive designer, I consider the best ways to blend the technical elements, creative intent and messaging of any project to get the best results when the product reaches the end user.

Recently, I was given the opportunity to work on a co-production project with a group of young people to create posters for NHS inpatient settings. The messaging was nuanced, sensitive and challenging. It was a privilege to help the group manifest their thoughts and creativity.
